ENJOY FAIRTRADE TEA & COFFEE AT CHATWINS

You can now relax with a clear conscience as you enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in our of our Coffee Lounges or Coffee Bars.

Chatwins have made the switch to a Fairtrade supplier as part of the company’s ongoing pledge to offer quality with justice. Fairtrade addresses the injustices of conventional trade which traditionally can discriminate against the poorer, weaker producers.  It enables them to improve their position and have more control over their lives.

“I’m delighted we’ve been able to make the switch,” said company chairman Edward Chatwin.  “We’ve been able to keep our high standards with coffee and tea which have a super taste and, at the same time, help farmers and workers in the developing world.”

Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions and local sustainability.  We hope you support the move we’ve made - and that you enjoy our tea and coffee as much as ever - or perhaps even that little bit more!

LOW Gi IS THE WRIGHT STUFF FOR SALLY

Northwich woman Sally Wright could hardly believe it when she was told that she had won our competition to win free membership of your favourite gym for a year.

Sally won a year’s free gym membership after she purchased a loaf of low Gi bread from Chatwins shop in Market Square, Northwich.

“I’m really excited,” said Sally.  “I love Chatwins’ Low Gi bread but never in a million years did I think I’d win the prize.  I can’t wait to get started at the gym.”

Marketing Manager Michael Chatwin said, “I’m delighted for Sally.  We had hundreds of our customers from across Cheshire and Staffordshire enter the draw and Sally’s name was the lucky one drawn out of the hat.  The promotion went really well and sales of our Low Gi loaf rocketed by 70%”

The Low Gi multiseed loaf is available in Chatwins shops throughout the local area.  Low ‘Glycemic index’ foods are believed to help reduce cholesterol and aid weight loss as part of a balanced diet.

The competition was run in association with British Bakels Ltd, and for her prize Sally has chosen to join the LA Fitness gym in Northwich.
